July Capricorn Full Moon + Journaling Prompts
This Full Moon in Capricorn is leading us into an intense peak of change—it’s a massive, soul-deep checkpoint for the human collective as a whole. The Big question is - will we repeat history or will enough of us choose to awaken from the self-destructive, divisive behaviors to lead the younger generations into a heart-centered future.
This is an invitation to recognize where our emotions, beliefs and old ways may actually be contributing to the disfunction in our inner/outer worlds. When we allow ourselves to see where our old or inherited programs no longer serve us, we can then give ourselves permission to release inherited burdens around responsibility and legacy and evolve into our personal power with conscious maturity.
Full Moon: 7/10 @ 4:36pm ET
(See my closing insight for preparation of what we may witness moving forward.)
5 Key Focus Areas for Healing & Growth
(Choose one or flow through all of the journaling prompts. They are simply here to offer you insightful points of self-reflection and introspection.)
1. Clarify Your Ambitions
Capricorn sharpens your vision for long-term success, helping you to see and understand the necessary steps and paths to your goals. This moon encourages you to reassess any goals that are without heart—which dreams and goals come from egoic desire or are pushing too hard. What actions are lacking patience, empathy and perspective to see not only how they serve you but also how they affect others. those you'd like to nurture instead.
Journaling Prompts:
Are my goals and actions serving the higher good in some way? In what ways?
Are my dreams coming from a heart-filled or a fearful space?
Are my plans inclusive of perspective and comparing possibilities or are they impatient? narrow-minded?
Are my goals/dreams ‘mine’ or have they been pushed upon me from someone outside of myself?
Am I placing my energy and time toward building a better future or am I repeating cycles of the past?
Affirmation: I place my time and energy toward a future of love and connection.
2. The Union of Intellect with Emotion
This is about uniting our brilliant brains with emotional intelligence and intuition—blending strategy with heart. Many of today’s systems—education, healthcare, corporations, agriculture—were built on oppressive foundations, disconnected from human and ecological impact. As these outdated structures begin to falter, we stand at a turning point: choose a new path rooted in compassion and inclusivity, or risk repeating historic cycles of self-destruction or harming others.
Journaling Prompts:
Where in my life can I pair emotional intelligence with practical boundaries?
Am I listening to my intuition—that inner voice? gut instinct? that sense of just ‘knowing’?
Have I slowed down enough to notice and consider my body’s guidance before I make decisions—anxiety, excitement, relief, tension/resistance?
Does ‘my’ logic make sense to ‘me’ but not necessarily match up with someone else’s? If so, am I willing to explore truth and honor my truth over others when it’s right?
Affirmation: I lead from both my heart and my mind with absolute trust and steady grace.
3. Accountability Initiates Harmony
This is about Radical Responsibility for your choices and actions (or inactions) and realizing that you have an impact on others, leaving a rippling effect (or a tidal wave) flowing across space and time. You deserve to own your place and embody your power for good.
Journaling Prompts:
Am I living in accordance to MY morals and values? Yes - in what ways? No - in what ways?
If No, what changes can I begin to apply now?
Am I surrounding myself with others who are willing to be accountable and take responsibility for themselves?
What important decision or commitment am I ready to step into?
Affirmation: I stand in my power with awareness.
4. Honor Your Growth & Resilience
This is a moment for self-recognition: breaking through old programs and ancestral ways is no small feat. Celebrate your stamina, your work, your growth.
Journaling Prompts:
How have I evolved over the past six months?
What have I learned that has improved my life? my relationships?
What have I learned about my Self that has helped me become more “me” and less of who I was told to be?
What milestones am I grateful for?
Affirmation: I celebrate my journey and allow my inner-strength to lead the way forward.
5. Intentional Innovation
Not to sound cliché, but….
Be the change you want to see in the world. This isn’t a time to hide, but to claim your space in this world. Be part of the bold changes. Allow yourself to take up space, to shift direction, try something new, create new paths. Go LIVE and let live.
Journaling Prompts:
Is there something I complain about or wish would change on a consistent basis? In what way can I initiate or be part of that change? (Or do I need to change my perspective on it?)
Is there something I’ve been wanting to say, do, learn or try? Let’s move forward and begin!
Affirmation: I am willing to take chances and live with a bold heart.
Closing Insights:
Honestly, we are entering a time - a few months, a few years - of what may feel like a pressure cooker. Big changes are on the horizon, fast movement, quick evolution or devolution (maybe simultaneously).
REMEMBER… While excessive pressure can lead to feelings of instability, it also holds the potential to catalyze meaningful change if used advantageously. Pressure invites us to either surrender what we cannot control or rise to meet what is ready to be faced, transformed, or initiated to serve our future trajectory.
Big egos are nothing new, but they may be flailing about from every sector - religion, spiritual path, corporation, etc. - claiming to have the “Right” answers or the “one and only” answer to yours or the world’s problems. They can be convincing with their bold confidence, however, it doesn’t mean they are projecting truth.
This is why those full moon prompts are important. When one allows their Ego to be in charge with no self-awareness and lacking heart/compassion, it causes more separation, selfishness and confusion.
If it feels like someone is forcing something on you or making you feel like your inner voice or truth is the ‘wrong’ path, be sure you claim boundaries, time and space to tune into what is actually true (this may require research and inquiring with others) and what is best for YOU. Stand in your power. No one can force you to do anything that doesn’t align with your morals, values and personal needs.
There may be a Lot of big and quick systemic changes, which we’ve already been seeing a start to this these past few months.
Advancing technologies moving at light speed. Remember how quickly CDs and DVDs went out of date? The technological shifts we are already seeing and about to see in the next few years are evolving so quickly, not one person on this planet will be able to keep track of all of the changes.
What To Do?
a) To me, the BEST choice is to choose self-care, slow down and make space to find inner solitude.
b) Calm the nerves, release the tension, unwind the mind, and allow space to hear your inner voice/guidance.
c) Cultivate a Daily Practice to Breathe, Ground & Recenter so you can stay on course with what’s meant for you rather than getting caught up in someone else’s drama.
d) Make space to explore new things, allow yourself to continue learning and evolving in your own way with the times.
I hope this was helpful. Remember, I’m right along side of you in this wild ride.
I LOVE YOU.
