2022’s first Full Moon is setting us up just right, offering us the insight and encouragement to set ourselves up to thrive in the years to come. How so, you ask?


Let's first remember how the FULL MOON BENEFITS us in general:

*Works with our emotions and mind/energy field
*brings peak clarity of mind during the lunar cycle,
*offers us feedback and shines a light on what is or is not working,
*while gifting us the power to transform and release what is no longer serving us.
*Causes pressure on the waters of our planet, the waters of our bodies and the layers of our psyche shining light into the parts that have been forgotten or hidden. So it is important to stay grounded and as calm as possible as to not get caught up in the waves of your shadows and/or surrounding fellow humans.
*Cleansing energy for your crystals and sacred items (place them under the moon!)

The moon energies are most potent at time of fullness, however, you can tap into that energy quite easily about 24 hours before and 24 hours after.


FULL MOON in CANCER ~ Energy Insights:

*Emotional Intelligence - Time to slow down & bring awareness to your feelings. What are you feeling? Are you feeling safe? What emotions are you flowing through? What emotions are you resisting?

*This is a time to feel safe in expressing your needs and doing what's needed to communicate your needs, resolutions to any discords in relationships (w/self or others) and to create boundaries where needed.

*This is also a time to acknowledge how we feel about our feelings/emotions. Do you feel shame? Do you accept them for what they are - energy expressing itself? Use this full moon to bring in acceptance and release the resistance to feeling these energies move through you.

*Cancer, in astrology, is associated with the stomach/spleen. Imbalanced energy in the stomach/spleen & therefore in Cancer sign represents too much worry. If you are worried, it is time to love yourself, remind yourself you are capable of getting through anything and utilize meditation, as well as, solution-oriented actions to bring truth to your worries & overcome them.


GOING DEEPER:

This is an invitation to stabilize our hearts and minds, to feel confident and safe in our own bodies and to nurture our needs more than ever.

In astrology, Cancer works directly with the moon and therefore, our emotions and mind field. When in balance, we feel safe, nurtured and in tune with our gut instincts and emotional body.

However, when we are out of balance in this energy, we can feel unsafe, unstable, alone and filled with worry.

The sign of Cancer is the Crab, which represents a safety within and a loving, protective envelopment as a mother would provide her child.

While this 'shell' can be created through healthy boundaries, it can also be created from a place of hurt, fear or worry causing us to become stuck within the fight-or-flight reaction state of mind and lacking clarity on what is fact and really true.

This can explain what we are seeing moving through the collective right now - lots of fear, worry and confusion.

The full moon, mixed with Mercury Retrograde, is creating an epic space in time for us to look within and discover more about our emotional body's communication as a means to decipher what our true needs are in any given moment, to heal and rise beyond the worries.

Everyone's experience is different. We are all at different places, with different learning lessons and different needs. Yet, the main message is the same for most of us:

Balance out the Yang (masculine) with the Yin (feminine). Cancerian energy creates a safe space to feel, process, heal and express while dissolving the shame many may hold around having emotions in the first place. It is a space for nurturing our bodies and souls to bring confidence and a deeper intuition to our human experience and navigating our own personal paths - which I feel our whole world could use more of right now!


In Closing, this Full Moon invites us to QUESTION:

*Am I feeling Safe?

*What am I feeling? - looking up ‘Emotion Charts’ in Google search can bring up some ideas of words/definitions to associate with your feelings. This is a journey of exploration & learning!

*Am I allowing myself to feel and move through these emotions/feelings? Or am I shutting them away?

*What safe space can I create for myself to allow me to feel what I am feeling, process and move through it? (i.e. Bedroom, car, the forest, private space on a beach, with a special person that helps you to feel safe, with a healer, etc.)

*Is my environment safe?

*What are my needs?

*What words can help me express my needs?

*What actions can help me to get my needs met?

*What are my boundaries? Or, what boundaries need to be put in place?

*What words can help me share my boundaries with others

Boundary Tips:
-Practice writing down and/or stating your boundaries/needs. Look up examples online if you need help.-Be kind when setting/expressing your boundaries
-Anyone who is offended by or does not like your boundaries are usually the ones that were taking advantage of those boundaries not being there. Let their resistance be their own journey, keep your boundaries in place and distance yourself if needed.
